Note on the Thematic seminars In each seminar, expert participants discussed the national situation, as well as the possibilities to promote the implementation of new practices. Thematic seminars were part of the second work package of the Bridge-IT project. In fact, they were conceived to enhance discussion and debates over the guidelines on how to roll out ICT solutions for social integration and cultural diversity in Europe. The inventory of practices served as a basis for providing guidance to those who are interested in being involved in the further development of ICT based solutions and approaches targeting immigrants needs. Three guidelines, one on each of the selected themes, proposes recommendations, “do and don’t” to those key players in Europe who wish to make a better use of ICT for immigrants’ social integration and cultural diversity. Partners will jointly define a methodological framework for the guidelines. The three thematic seminars, gathering the members of the network and"owners" of good practices, will take place to feed the guidelines. Three sets of thematic guidelines, possibly gathered in an integrated document, will be produced and distributed to relevant key players in Europe. |
