This site is a result of the eCLIPse project. The project, an action-research, which received funds from the European Commission (Media Lilteracy call, eLearning Initiative), finished in February 2005  and involved over 80 students and tutors from four European Universities:

Universitat de Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) - coord
Universität zu Köln (Germany)
Universiteit Gent (Belgium)
Universitetet i Stavanger (Norway)

The project centered its attention on racism, xenophobia and cultural prejudices in the media, and more specifically the representation or portrayal of immigrants and ethnic minorities on television.

Students participating in the eCLIPse project have explored a new communication medium, the Internet, to distribute their own material. In two steps - an analysis phase and a production phase - they and their tutors underwent an exciting learning process, the results of which were presented at the Media Forum (May 2004, Barcelona) and the Final Conference (February 2005, Köln).

On this web site we are presenting the main results of the project: the educational model on  one hand, and the analysed and produced clips on the other.
