| ABSTRACT (english) | |
The research, “The design of educative webs. From expert proposals to teachers’ perceptions.” raises the hypothesis that Spanish teachers have a lack of knowledge on Interactive web environment and multimedia language. It does put in evidence the need of a learning process adapted to the 21st Century society. In order to work in this direction, the research is focused on the study of interactive design of web environments. It analyzes on one hand the experts’ ideas on design and usability, and on the other hand, the real perceptions of teachers “expert users” in ICTs. This is to make clear how teachers perceive the informative and educative resources online, distinguishing the content from the design, o discovering it as a whole interrelated. For this reason, this thesis includes two investigations. First, there is a study on design principles (graphical and informative) that can be applied to interactive web design, analysing them deeply from the experts’ point of view: With this study, ten categories of interactive design have been created:
The empirical research is based on these categories. Framed in an interpretative-qualitative paradigm, looking for understanding and not for forecasting or controlling. It focuses on key elements of the constructive perspective perceiving the research to be done under subject’s points of view, with their evaluations and opinions. The principal instrument for data collection has been a questionnaire submitted to a large group of professors from all over the country, expert users in ICTs in the classroom, on their perception over web design and its relation to the content. The quantitative results provided orientative data on the vision and relations teachers have with web design of interactive contents. But their open answers with their perceptions are especially important to understand their points of view as users of web environments, as well as manager and teachers of interactive material. These ideas are reliable sources for decision-making in lifelong learning for teachers in relation to ICTs and visual and audiovisual education.
